INTERNeX NAFSA Reception – SEO, Social Media and Online Marketing Strategy by Simok33

What and event, eh? So many people came to the INTERNeX Class of 2011 at the Blarney Stone. We calculated that we had an overall of 400-500 guests during the evening. A School Bus was picking up people from around the Vancouver Convention Centre, as well other receptions. A DJ and a live band was playing fantastic music. The food was great and I had lots of drinks and chats with many amazing people.

The INTERNeX PR team were mainly running the show. Elvera was the host of the evening, Elke was the Gamemaster and Franziska was in charge of the Photo booth. Claudia, who already knew a lot of people, because she went to the NAFSA conference itself, was greeting special guests and was also making sure everyone had a good time.

NAFSA 2011 in Vancouver – Simok33 says Welcome

This year, the annual NAFSA conference takes place in Vancouver BC – Canada. As I mentioned before in some of my previous Blog posts. Many of you know, that I support Education via SocialVibe for some time. Beside earning point via SocialVibe to support Education, I also work as Public Relations and IT Manager for INTERNeX International Exchange, who helps students and young professionals to gain work experience in Canada or in New Zealand. They help them to find accommodation as well as the right internship that fits with their professional background.

As a supporter of education and being proud to have the privilege to live in one of the best place on earth, I think you can understand that I am very happy to have the NAFSA conference here, in Vancouver BC – Canada.

Public Transportation – Translink
In Vancouver we have of course a well developed Bus system, but you will also find the Vancouver Skytrain with the Expo Line, The Millennium Line and the Canada Line. Beside the regular Bus and the Skytrain there is as well the Seabus that connects North Vancouver (Lonsdale Quay) with Downtown Vancouver (Waterfront Station). Even if you do not really have to go to North Vancouver, you should at least take the Seabus once, just for fun

The INTERNeX Class of 2011

The start of the NAFSA 2011 Annual Conference & Expo is getting closer. Just a couple more weeks and 10,000 people from all over the world will come to Vancouver BC – Canada, to talk about education, mutual understanding among nations, connecting students and citizens across borders. But beside the regular NAFSA conference, there will be lots of different receptions where you can network with all those international people.

INTERNeX Reception (1st June 2011) at the Blarney Stone

There is an event in Vancouver BC – Canada beginning of June 2011. I am talking about NAFSA‘s 2011 Annual Conference & Expo. This event will bring together campus leaders, policy experts, industry partners, experienced practitioners, and international colleagues. With nearly 10,000 members, NAFSA is the world’s largest nonprofit professional association dedicated to international education.
